Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts is an audio production school with campuses both in the West End and Exchange Districts of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We have been providing practical and intensive education in audio production for over 25 years.
AUDIO IN MEDIA (Diploma Programme)
1 Year Audio Engineering Diploma, 1305 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
Maximum enrolment of 15 students
Starting date: September
Includes: AVID Pro Tools Certification
Upon completion of this programme, students will possess a high level of skill to apply in any of the four main fields of the Audio Industry such as: Live Sound Reinforcement, Music Production, Radio Production, and Sound for Film, TV, and Game Audio. Students gain valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the industry through various recording session, seven weeks of industry mentorships, and eight weeks of elective projects and work practicum with MOSMA industry partners.

Amanda Tosoff Jazz and Blues Piano Lessons

Amanda Tosoff is an experienced jazz pianist and educator and offers private piano lessons in jazz and blues piano, theory, composition and more in Toronto, Ontario. All levels and ages are welcome - children, teenagers and adults.Amanda holds a BA in Music, Jazz studies and has won several awards including the Montreal Jazz Festival Grand Prix de Jazz in 2009. She has performed all over Canada, taught privately and at community music schools, and has run clinics in various schools, colleges and universities. In addition to performing all across Canada, she has released 3 CDs and has been featured on CBC radio and at festivals including the Montreal Jazz Festival.

Situated in Mississauga ON, in the Greater Toronto Area, Metalworks Institute is a dedicated music school based in a highly-respected, state-of-the-art recording studio. We provide a wide range of 1 Year and 2 Year Diploma Programs as well as Weekend Certificate courses in a variety of music production and entertainment topics.The educational division of Metalworks was launched in 2005. Metalworks Institute first opened with one available program (Audio Production and Engineering), and since then, the enrollment has grown to more than 250 students and 11 full-time programs are now offered. A partnership with the third Metalworks Company, Metalworks Production Group, has allowed our Live Production and Show Management students to benefit from the same hands-on experience as those studying studio production.

Both programs are full-time and take place Monday-Friday from 6 PM-10 PM. The courses are taught by instructors who are both experienced educators, as well as active members in the music business as composers, songwriters, producers, arrangers, engineers, re-mixers, DJs, and more.
Entry into both programs is based on a short interview and recorded examples of an applicant's work.
The Digital Music Production Program is an intensive, one-year full-time program training freelance music producers and composers for film, TV, gaming, advertising & multimedia.
The Singer-Songwriter Certificate Program gives the aspiring singer/songwriter (from novice to advanced) the opportunity to hone their skills in song writing, performing live, recording demos, and marketing & promoting their music.
