Mathnasium Walnut Creek:
Located in Walnut Creek, Contra Costa County CA, Mathnasium Walnut Creek is a specialized math-based after school tutoring center for children from Early Childhood through Grade 12. Every day, students around the world attend Mathnasium learning centers to boost their math skills. We are highly specialized; we teach only math. Members usually attend two or three times a week for about an hour. We are open Monday – Thursday 3pm to 7pm, and on Saturday 10am to 1pm.
Personalized Math Tutor Programs for Kids from Pre-K through Grade 12:
Early Childhood:
Mathnasium's First Steps program for early childhood learners enhances their natural interest in mathematics and their instinct to use it to organize and make sense of their world in preparation for elementary school.
Elementary School:
In elementary school, children must master their number facts and develop numerical fluency. They begin with computation and problem solving using whole numbers, and then move on to computation and problem solving with rational numbers (fractions, decimals, percents, negative numbers).
Middle School:
In middle school, students master computation and problem solving with rational numbers (fractions, decimals, percents, exponents, roots, negative numbers), and become proficient in first year algebra (Algebra I) creating a solid mathematical foundation for Algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus.
High School:
In high school, students focus on higher math, mastering algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability in preparation for high school exit exams, college placement exams, and standardized college entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT.
Summer Programs:
Our summer programs will give your child the math skills needed to succeed in the coming school year. We offer a number of programs designed to solidify last year’s materials and give students the opportunity to get ahead and prepare for the next school year as well as enhance their overall math skills.
