Acting On Camera
:
This class is dedicated to teach young people to merge their own uniqueness into the demands of acting on film and television. The young actor learns about the technicalities of working on camera, how to make a scene real, as well as various audition techniques to make them stand out. In addition, they learn comedy improv and gain a freedom in front of the camera. It is recommended that students have at least one semester of Acting Technique when enrolling.

Acting Technique:
Students learn how to use their own unique qualities to act. Through the basics of the Stanislavski system, the young actor learns about wants/objectives, through-line of action, sense memory, place-work, and past circumstances, as well as improvisation, story-telling and theatre games. Students begin to develop a self-confidence that will stay with them wherever they may go, and have a lot of fun in the process!

Theater Production & Scene Study:

Students have the experience of performing a show from start to finish, with full lighting, music and costume. Each student will be given the opportunity to act in at least one 2-to-5 minute scene or monologue that spotlights them individually, within the play or production. This class is specifically designed to help students overcome issues and learn to apply the technique work and their own uniqueness into the scripted role. Please note: Students in this class must also be enroImage of Acting Classes for Kids & Teens in Los Angeleslled in Workshop Two, the Acting Technique Class.

Commissioned Play Projects:
Commissioned play projects take place at regualr intervals throughout the year.

Comedy Improvisation:
Comedy Improvisation classes are offered as part of two week camps along with acting technique, theater production & scene study.

Summer Camp:
The 5 week camp will give students the unique opportunity to work with a commissioned writer and have a role created especially for them. Each student will perform a lead role in an ensemble piece. Our actors will work one-on-one to develop their play and will be given the unique opportunity to work with an award winning writer and witness the process on an interactive level.
