Forest Park Christian School:
Forest Park Christian School is a Christian preschool and all-day kindergarten in North Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. In addition to our early childhood education programs, we provide before-school and after-school child care with transportation for children aged 6 - 12 years old, as well as a summer day camp. Forest Park Christian School has over 25 years in children's education.

As a child care facility, licensed by the State of Ohio, our primary responsibility is to provide a learning environment that is clean, healthy and protective. Each child must be provided the tools by which they can construct a successful and happy formal education. Beyond the formal educational processes, we strive to assist in the child's social, emotional and spiritual development.

Of primary importance is the development of the child's positive self-concept. Educationally, we are committed to developing skills that are known to be prerequisite to reading mastery and math and science comprehension. Student / teacher ratios will meet all State law requirements. This enables your child to receive the individual attention that they so deserve. Providing an environment that helps promote natural curiosity will cause the learning to be both positive and enjoyable.

The instruction at Forest Park Christian School is as personalized as possible. Class sizes are kept small so each child can receive maximum attention on a daily basis. Systematic planning, articulation, implementation and evaluation characterize curriculum and instruction. Daily lesson plans and curriculum aids are available for parental examination upon request.

Forest Park Christian School has current instructional materials, which are updated and evaluated annually. The materials shall be of a hands-on nature so the students can actively make use of them. Staff members are encouraged to make games, puzzles, charts and flashcards to facilitate learning. With approval, the staff is also allowed to purchase aids or equipment which will enhance their teaching as well as the student's learning.

Forest Park Christian School has a library and a resource room containing materials and equipment for the teacher's development of subject matter objectives. The materials shall be available to all staff members. Parents are invited to preview the materials and equipment at any time.
