Children at the center will be involved in many different activities throughout the day. During their free play periods they might be involved in dramatic play in the housekeeping corner; quiet play such as working puzzles, using crayons, stringing beads, looking at books, block building, working with clay, drawing, cutting and pasting; indoor climbing equipment; playing with toys and stuffed animals; playing learning games on the computer.

While they are on the playground during outdoor playtime, they might be using active play toys such as climbing apparatus, swings, slides, jump ropes, balls, tires, and chinning bar.

Typical Full Day Preschool Schedule:
The children’s daily schedule is flexible enough to provide adaptability when necessary but structured enough to provide predictability for the children. We want them to view their school as a safe and comforting place, where they know what to expect and when to expect it. A typical day would include:

6:30-8:15 Free-play in the Big Room
8:15-8:30 Bathroom /Clean up of Big Room
8:30-9:45 Classroom (Center Time)
9:45-10:00 Clean up and Bathroom
10:00-10:15 Snack
10:15-10:45 Circle Time / Story / Work Paper
