Alliance Française de Rouen:
Since 1981, we have been welcoming 600 students from 70 different countries each year at our Rouen school in the North of France.The Alliance Française is present in 133 countries and has 800 schools. Each year 444 000 students attend for lessons. We are a non profit-making association, whose dual mission and passion is the teaching of the French language and the spreading of French-speaking culture.
Basic:
15 hours per week: 3 hours per day.
Intensive course:
20 hours per week: Basic course + 1 hour linguistic workshop each afternoon.
Super intensive course:
25 hours per week: Intensive course + 1 hour cultural thematic workshop each afternoon.
Intensive Plus course:
25 hours per week: Intensive course + 5 hours of individual lessons + 1 test.
Evening course:
32 hours: 2 lessons of 2 hours per week.
Au pair course:
The basic course timetable can be tailor-made for au pairs.
Exam preparation course:
On request from candidates taking exams.
Painting and History of Art programme:
Programme:
• 3 hours of intensive French lessons every morning (weekdays)
• 2 hours of art history lessons Monday and Tuesday afternoon
• 3 hours of painting lessons Wednesday and Thursday
• Museum visits Friday: Giverny; Le Havre and Honfleur
• Guided visit of the town of Rouen and the Musée des Beaux Arts (Museum of Fine Arts) Saturday mornings
Includes:
• Registration and documentation expenses;
• All lesson (French, art history and painting);
• Loan of painting materials;
• Transport to Giverny, Le Havre and Honfleur; and
• Guided visits.
Programme guaranteed to proceed when 4 participants are registered.
Seniors' programme:
This 17 day programme is specifically tailored for seniors.
Programme:
• 15 hours of French Lessons;
• Visits led by a professional multilingual guide to historic sights and monuments including: Paris, Mont Saint-Michel, D-Day Landing Beaches, Bayeux, Honfleur and Saint-Malo;
• Tour of the Loire Valley;
• Art and cooking lessons; and
• Wine and cheese degustation.
Includes:
• Lodging and half-board with host-family (other accommodation options are also available on request);
• Hotels and meals as indicated in the programme;
• Lessons;
• Transfers and welcome at the airport;
• Excursions and visits listed in the programme.
Specialised French courses:
The Alliance Française de Rouen offers individual or mini group courses tailored to the needs of students, on specific subjects: French for medicine, law, business, tourism, military.
Cultural Programme:
This program has been developed in conjunction with the Universities of Adelaide and Auckland an all-inclusive cultural programme. This comprehensive programme of language studies, activities and excursions is complemented by accommodation with host families.
Didactic Programme:
This 3 week programme includes 45 hours of interaction investigating and discussing various aspects of teaching French. In addition the afternoons include aspects of French culture and civilisation. Visits and excursions are also included in the programme.
