Istituto Linguistico Mediterraneo is a friendly and welcoming Italian language school in the heart of Tuscany. We specialise in Italian courses for foreigners. Courses are available in Pisa and in seaside city Viareggio (two famous towns by the Tyrrhenian Sea, conveniently linked by rail and motorway to the most important towns such as Florence, Rome, Milan and Venice).
Holiday course "GV":
Mainly oriented towards developing conversational skills, without neglecting Italian culture and civilisation.
The course is held in Viareggio 20 lessons a week, 4 lessons a day, times: 09.00- 12.15
General course "GA":
Combines the teaching of grammatical and structural aspects of the language with activities for the development of communicative competences. The course also provides elements of Italian culture.
The course is held in Pisa 20 lessons a week, 4 lessons a day, times: 09.00- 13.00
Intensive course "GB":
Essentially covers the same syllabus as the General course but with a larger number of hours. To the 4 hours of lessons during the morning are added 2 hours of group conversation in the afternoon.
The course is held in Pisa 30 lessons a week, 6 lessons a day, times: 09.00- 13.00 and 14.00- 16.00
Individual courses "IA"; "IB"; "IC" and Individual courses with lunch with the teacher "IP1", "IP2", "IP3":
Individualised, for those who need to make maximum use of the short periods available, with a personalized syllabus according to specific work and study needs.
The course is held in Pisa and Viareggio 20/30/40 lessons a week 4/6/8 lessons a day times: to be chosen by the student. date of beginning of the courses: open.
Mini-intensive courses "MI1", "MI2", "MI3", "MI4":
This course is suitable for those who wish to complete a specific course of study in short time,but prefer to occupy the afternoon with only one hour of lesson. Like the super-intensive course, they are group lessons combined with individual lessons, during which it is possible to arrange with the teacher to deal with subjects of interest to the student for his/her profession or studies, e.g. preparation for PLIDA exam or a university exam in Italian.
The course is held in Pisa and Viareggio 25 lessons a week, (20 group + 5 individual hours a week) 5 lessons a day Times: group lessons 09.00- 13.00 (Pisa)/09.00- 12.15 (Viareggio) Individual lessons 14.00- 15.00
Super-intensive courses "SI1", "SI2", "SI3", "SI4":
This course is particularly suited to those who wish to complete a specific programme of studies in a short time. The group lessons help to develop general language skills, while the individual lessons can deal with subjects of particular interest to the student, such a topic relating to profession or for preparation for PLIDA exam or a university exam in Italian.

Preparatory course for the CILS exam. "MC1", "MC2", "MC3", "MC4" and "SC1", "SC2", "SC3", "SC4":
This course is specifically oriented to preparation for the CILS examination of the University for Foreigners of Siena. During the individual lessons there are practice sessions using CILS tests. Areas in which the student is deficient are studied more deeply. Course "MC"- 25 lessons a week (20 group hours and 5 individual hours a week) 5 lessons a day.

Language Certificates
A certificate of attendance is issued to each participant at the end of the course followed. For those who have attended a course lasting at least 4 weeks it will be possible to take an optional exam, both written and oral, to obtain the ILM certificate, containing an end-of-course evaluation (exam fee: Euro 25).

Pixel is based in Florence, the very hearth of Italian renaissance art. Pixel School was awarded the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate (certificate no. SQ.41823). Pixel is also accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education and by the Tuscany County Council. Pixel specialises in organising individual customised Italian language courses for foreigners. The courses are highly personalised and flexible, responding to the specific needs of the student or of small groups of students in terms of the training contents and time. The teacher is also chosen according to his/her specific skills and background so as to be able to carry out a language course that responds in its entirety to the student's specific interests. The dates and duration of the course are established by the student, according to the time available and the level of language skills which he/she intends to achieve.
Basic Communication in Italian, Italian language for business, Italian language for marketing, Italian language for tourism management, Italian language for travelling in Italy, Italian language for art, Italian language for fashion. Courses can be scheduled during all period of the year. Each course can last from a minimum of 2 hours up until a maximum of 10 hours per day. Courses can be carried out every day or on alternate days from Monday to Saturday.
