St. Matthew's School:
St. Matthew's School, located on St. Paul's West Side, Minnesota, is a small Catholic school that educates students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. St. Matthew's School believes in the dignity and value of each child. We believe that each child is a gift from God and a promise for tomorrow. Childcare:
St. Matthew’s Parish offers the only licensed childcare center on the West Side. The Center offers care to children ages 6 weeks – 5 years at competitive rates with the County Sliding Fee accepted. St. Matthew’s is particularly proud of the quality and stability of its dedicated staff who care for the children. On average, each staff person has worked at the Child Care Center for 10 years. That stability is crucial for the successful growth and development of the children.
Religious Education:
St. Matthew’s Parish offers faith formation for students who do not attend the day school including:
- Religious Classes for grades 1 – 10
- Sacrament Preparation including First Communion, First Reconciliation & Confirmation
Adult Enrichment:
St. Matthew’s believes in education from the early stages of life through adulthood. With that belief, St Matthew’s Parish provides opportunities throughout the year for adults to enrich their knowledge and understanding of their faith including:
- Centering Prayer – a meditative prayer group
- The Isaiah Project – a group committed to advancing social justice issues through lobbying and education
