Why choose us?

Photo of Sound Engineering & Music Technology School in IrelandAlmost 20 years experience in professional training, Internationally recognised qualifications, Small classes..max 20! Personal attention, Loads of practical experience, Earn while you learn, Superb facilities, Fabulous location.

Some sound engineering courses are two years in duration. Why are the courses at Poppyhill only one year?
The City & Guilds courses offered at Poppyhill have been exclusively designed by the Institute of Music & Technology, London. No other college in Ireland has been authorised to offer these courses. Sound Engineering and Music Technology are very practical subjects. We chose to offer these particular courses because we feel they concentrate very much on the practicalities of the subject and avoid any peripheral elements which have very little relevance in the real-world careers that our students aspire to. Due to the concentrated content of our courses we can offer our students the opportunity to complete all three 3 City & Guilds qualifications within one year. This is an important attraction of our school as it means one year’s fees rather than two, less accommodation and general living expenses plus the opportunity to get into the work place or further study in less time.
