Salem Christian School:
Salem Christian School is a private school in Salem in Rockingham County, offering a Christ-centered, Bible-based education in our preschool through to 8th grade programs. We provide a fun education in a safe environment including classes in computer skills, physical education, music, and art which are taught at each grade level. At Salem Christian School, we offer a commitment to excellence, and this is proven in our high academic standards and dedicated, experienced staff. Families can also take advantage of a carpool group. Salem families may also utilize the public school bus system at no additional cost.

Education Programs:

* Preschool Program:
The preschool program is for 3 and 4 year-old children. Our  program will meet the specific needs of your family and will be open from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. 

* Kindergarten Program:
Our Kindergarten offers program a full-day 5K program for 5 year-old children. Our classes provide academic experiences designed to make learning interesting and appealing.

* Elementary School Program:
The Elementary School includes Grades 1 through 5. Students are in self-contained classrooms, designed to be small enough to meet your child's needs.

* Middle School Program:
Students in Grades 6 through 8 comprise the Middle School. Classes rotate between a team of teachers who specialize in the subjects they teach.  Spanish is included in the eighth grade curriculum.

Our Curriculum:
Salem Christian School offers a complete academic curriculum for Grades T1 through 8. We do not use any one educational program but rather have chosen what is considered to be the best available in a particular subject area. It is our desire to see your child identify his or her special gifts, to improve and excel, to contribute and communicate. A variety of curricula is used in grades one through to eight.

The curriculum is under constant scrutiny to insure that it meets the standards of excellence we wish to maintain at Salem Christian School. In addition, classes in computer skills, physical education, music, and art are taught at each grade level.

Chapel Services
:  Wednesday mornings begin with a chapel service. We sing songs and enjoy messages from a variety of local pastors. Each class has the opportunity to present a chapel once per year, by performing a skit or play. Attendance, positive study habits and Christian Character Awards are given on Chapel days. Chapel offerings support missions benefiting children.

Before Care & After Care Programs:
Before Care is available for children in Grades K5-8 from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. No child may be dropped off prior to 6:30 a.m. After school supervision is available from 3:15-6:00 p.m. Any student not picked up by 3:15 p.m. will be assigned to After Care.

Extra Care Programs:
Salem Christian School offers several extra-curricular programs for our students and we are always open to new ideas. Our offerings include: Drama Kids, Bowling, Piano, Guitar and Drum Lessons, Ski Club & Soccer.

Every summer, Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire welcomes to campus some 750 students for five weeks of academic study, athletics, and exploration that carry participants far beyond the classrooms and the playing fields.
