International Summer School at North Country School, Lake Placid, NY:
Located in Upstate New York, approximately 5 hours drive north of NYC, North Country School's International Summer School (ISS) provides English summer courses for international students ages 10-14 from July 5 to August 17. Two sessions, each three weeks long, offer English language instruction in the morning and enriching activities and excursions in the afternoon, as well as American culture immersion.
The spectacular North Country School campus is located in the Adirondack Mountains near Lake Placid, New York, the site of two Winter Olympic Games. Our 200-acre pristine mountain campus - with extensive wilderness, farm, garden and lakefront - provides endless opportunities for enjoyment and exploration. We are seven miles from the Village of Lake Placid, a popular tourist destination with museums, shops, restaurants and Olympic sites.
