Hawthorne Christian Academy:
The Hawthorne Christian Academy (HCA), located in Hawthorne, Passaic County, New Jersey, is an accredited, co-educational, college preparatory, private Christian school, serving students in Pre-school through 12th grade. The educational philosophy of the Hawthorne Christian Academy is consistent with that of the Hawthorne Gospel Church and is based on a God-centered view of truth and man as presented in the Bible. The educational objectives are grouped into four categories: the student’s spiritual and moral growth, personal and social development, academic advancement, and the school’s responsibility to the family from which the student comes.
Mission Statement:
As an outreach ministry of the Hawthorne Gospel Church, in partnership with parents, the mission of the Hawthorne Christian Academy is to train and nurture young people to spiritual maturity in Christ Jesus (Christians who are committed to worshipping and serving God with their lives.) With this ultimate purpose, the Academy seeks to meet the learning needs of and to educate its students to their fullest potential, while instilling within them the value of lifelong learning.
Affiliation & Accreditation:
Hawthorne Christian Academy, a ministry of the Hawthorne Gospel Church, is accredited by both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Middle States Association of College and Schools. The Academy is also a member of the Northern New Jersey Christian School Association and the Mid-Atlantic Christian Schools Association, Inc.
History:
Under the guidance of God and upon the recommendation of the Church Board, the congregation of the Hawthorne Gospel Church voted in March of 1980 to begin the Hawthorne Christian Academy in September of 1981. Grades K-7 were offered in the fall of 1981 with 72 in attendance. Grade 8 was added the following year.
In March of 1984 the congregation approved the starting of grade 9 in September of 1985, with a new grade to be added each year. In June of 1989, the Academy graduated its first senior class. It was projected that a second section would be added to each grade until 1998 when all grade levels would have double sections. In God’s timing and with His tremendous blessing, this took place six years sooner than anticipated, in 1992. In 1996, school wide accreditation was granted by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Middle States.

HearMyHands provides American Sign Language workshops, classes and tutoring for all ages (babies, infants, children/students and adults) in the South/Central Jersey area.Kristy, owner, is a speech language pathologist with an extensive background in American Sign Language (ASL)and Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC). She is a masters level certified Signing Time instructor in South Jersey and has been a member of the Sign2Me Presenters Network since 2006. She currently provides workshops for school district, local groups and other organizations teaching sign language as a language and as an alternative tool for communication.

Mathnasium, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey (an edge city of Philadelphia, PA), is an after-school learning center where children, Pre-K to 12th grade, go to boost their math skills. New Covenant Christian Academy

New Covenant Christian Academy (NCCA) is an independent Christian school for grades K-8 in Plainfield, New Jersey, serving Union County and surrounding areas. We are centrally located in the historic and beautiful First Park Baptist Church in Plainfield NJ, close to educational facilites such as the Plainfield Public Library and the YMCA. NCCA reguarly uses these offsite facilities to enhance our program.New Covenant Christian Academy offers an enriched academic program in all grades including Spanish and Computer Lab beginning in kindergarten. The school houses its own library, and uses off-site gym facilities. The school also offers dance. The school day is extended, and both before-school care and after-school child care is offered.
