Acting classes in NYC for kids & teenagers
The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Manhattan:
Centrally located in Manhattan, NYC The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is the only school in the world that offers training of Lee Strasberg’s Method Acting in its pure form. As well as our acting programs for adults, we offer year-round classes for kids and teens aged between 7-18. These 12-week Saturday programs are offered for students during the fall, winter, summer and spring. In addition, we offer 2-week to 6-week all day summer camps.
Year-round 12-week Saturday Programs for Young Actors (7-18):
- Young Actors ages 7-11 study Acting, Movement, Dance, Acting for Film/TV, and Musical Theatre in an all-day program designed to be an intensive introduction to these creative disciplines.
- Young Actors ages 12-17 are immersed in an intensive introduction to Lee Strasberg’s technique in acting class and then have the option to apply what they’ve learned in an elective class.
Summer Acting Camps:
We also offer 2-week to 6-week all day summer camps.
Enroll quickly to avoid disappointment:
Classes are filled on a first come basis. As a courtesy to students presently enrolled in the Young Actors at Strasberg, priority is given them to re-register first. If any spaces become available, they will be filled from the waiting list on a first come basis. Should an opening become available, students on the waiting list will be called in for an interview. No audition is required.

Astoria Dance Centre

Located in Astoria, in the northwestern corner of Queens in New York City (NYC), Astoria Dance Centre offers fun and professional dance, acting, piano and voice lessons for boys and girls of all ages and levels, from toddler through to teens. We also offer summer programs. We are proud to serve Queens and NYC areas of Astoria, Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst Corona and Manhattan. Recreational and pre-professional classes at Astoria Dance Centre are designed to ensure correct technique and placement and each student is assigned to a class best suited to her or his age and stage of development. Located in Manhattan, New York, The School for Strings has been New York’s premiere Suzuki-based music school since 1970, providing outstanding instrumental instruction in violin, cello, piano and fiddle to thousands of children and teenagers. In agreement with Dr. Shinichi Suzuki’s ideas, the School’s philosophy is that through the study of music, all children can achieve beyond their expectations. Dr. Suzuki's educational precepts are based on his conviction that every child can be educated and the corollary assumption that every child will be educated. Children learn the fundamentals of classical music: rhythm, melody, harmony, tempo, dynamics and articulation.
