Camphill Special School is a non-profit private Waldorf school located in Glenmoore, Chester County, PA. We offer residential and day academic and prevocational programs, as well as therapeutic care, for children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities in kindergarten through grade twelve. We also offer a Transition Program for young people aged eighteen to twenty-one which prepares them for adult life.

Our students have disabilities that may include, but are not restricted to, mental retardation (MR), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), Fragile X Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, and other syndromes associated with intellectual disability.

Camphill Special School is part of the worldwide Camphill Movement and the only Camphill community in North America for children, as well as the only Waldorf school in the country for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We are accedited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).
We offer K-12 education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities:

Westtown School, located in Chester County (22 miles west of Philadelphia), southeastern Pennsylvania, is a private, co-educational, Quaker school for grades pre-K through 12. Westtown School offers an essential education where young children continually find wonder in learning, middle schoolers turn their volatile energy into academic and personal momentum, and high school students move forward into advanced academic exploration, self-knowledge, and independent purpose.
