Our academic classrooms are small, facilitating our belief in interactive, personalized instruction. Every room is wired for network access, and our wireless network is growing campuswide. Heath S. Clark Hall houses six well-equipped laboratories for scientific research and experimentation, the Stephen C. Rogers Fine Arts Center caters to the fine and performing arts, and the John A. Pidgeon Library is renowned throughout the state for its information services.
Seven dormitories, each housing at least one faculty family, accommodate all of our students and offer Internet access to each boy from his room. Our dining hall also features a snack bar, laundry facilities, a barbershop, the bookstore, and our health center.
Our field house – including two gymnasiums, an indoor swimming pool, a wrestling room, and a weight training facility – ensures that our boys can fully explore their athletic potential. Our campus also features several fields for football, soccer, baseball, and lacrosse; a nine-hole golf course; a 400-meter all-weather track; five all-weather tennis courts; and an outdoor swimming pool.

The Hill School is a co-educational boarding and day school consisting of grades 9-12 and a post-graduate year. We are located in Pottstown in Montgomery County PA, 40 miles north-west of Philadelphia. Founded in 1851, as The Family Boarding School, The Hill School provides students from across the U.S. and around the world with an outstanding liberal arts education designed to prepare them well for excellence in college, careers, and life.
We provide a challenging curriculum to Hill’s 500+ students (56% boys and 44% girls). We have a 76% / 24% boarding-to-day student ratio, and all students must board for one year. Hill students are drawn from 27 states and 20 foreign countries. The student / teacher ratio is approximately 7-1.
