Spanish is one of the most widely used languages in the world. It is the most commonly spoken in the Americas and its popularity has been steadily increasing. Inherited from the Spanish conquistadors who came to this continent in the 16th century, it is also the vehicle of rich literary traditions in Latin America. For many, Spanish is the language of the future and an essential tool of communication.
Our teaching methodology is based on:
- Total linguistic and cultural immersion through homestay in selected families
- Small group / individual teaching by highly qualified native speakers who aim to develop the student´s skills in writing, grammar, reading comprehension and oral expression.
- Language classes will be complemented by cultural activities and/or social service
Full Immersion Spanish Courses with Homestay; Group Spanish Courses; Individual Spanish Lessons; Spanish and Culture; Spanish and Ecology.
Centro Tinku is proud of the quality and experience of its teaching staff. Our professors have been trained in the best teaching techniques in language instruction while at the same time they are attuned to the particular necessities and requirements of individual students.
Central to our philosophy, is the idea of total cultural immersion through individual stays in selected Peruvian homes. For this, Centro Tinku has established networks of homestay families in Cusco, as well as in indigenous villages in the Andean highlands and in communities on Lake Titicaca, and is currently working on expanding those networks. This means that we can offer students the opportunity to live fully within the local culture and be immersed in the language (Spanish or Quechua), while benefiting from the relative comfort and security provided by closely selected and monitored families.
In Cusco, we have established groups of families in the residential districts of the city. This guarantees that the students will be housed in homes with a minimum of amenities. All homestay families live within two of three street blocks of each other in these middle class areas. Students can visit each other and organize their evening activities together.
