Small class sizes ensure that every child is known. Differentiated instruction at all levels challenges the most advanced students while supporting those who need additional or varied instruction. Our challenging curriculum, high academic standards, small class sizes, and committed faculty create an environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, growth, and interaction.

Our Goal:

Our goal is to enroll motivated students whose academic achievements and academic promise indicate that they can be successful in a vigorous program.

Our Mission:

The mission of Tuxedo Park School is to teach students to become life-long learners and thoughtful, productive citizens and leaders in their communities, our country and the world. In all aspects of school life we value integrity, independence, co-operation, responsibility, compassion, and respect for others.

Tuxedo Park School welcomes and values a diversified school community. It does not discriminate on the basis of religion, race, color, disability, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid programs, and other school-administered programs. The School provides a safe, nurturing educational community that is small enough for each child to be known, to be appreciated, and to have appropriate opportunities to participate and to lead.

Our beautiful 17-acre campus, surrounded by the natural beauty of Tuxedo Park, offers an enriching environment that helps each child learn and grow. Our unique location and our mission help to provide a physically safe environment that allows children to take the “safe” risks necessary for growth.

Physical Education and Athletics:

Students in pre-k through sixth grade participate in a full physical education program. All Upper School students play on a competitive interscholastic athletic team. They learn the skills of teamwork and the important values of self-discipline, tenacity, responsibility, and sportsmanship. The goal of the program is to have every child be an active and responsible member of the teams and to represent Tuxedo Park School in a proud and respectful way.

Fine and Performing Arts:

The fine and performing arts infuse our campus with art, music, and drama. The Kathryn Davis Performing Arts Center, specially designed for young performers, provides the appropriate setting for plays, musicals, and recitals. All students in pre-K through sixth grade take art and music in five to six week blocks during the year.

Extracurricular Activities::

Tuxedo Park School offers activities and opportunities that are designed to spark each student's interest. The Student Council takes an active role in school life by sponsoring social events, dances, sports nights, food and toy drives, weekend trips, and recycling programs. Community service clubs in both Middle and Upper School, Middle School Electives, Upper School Co-Curriculars, and after school Discovery Programs offer a variety of enrichment opportunities throughout the year.
