Spanish Language Center, San Diego:
Spanish Language Center, in the Mission Valley area of San Diego, California, is a Language School offering Spanish instruction to children, teenagers and adults. Our classes are scheduled conveniently to fit your busy work schedule or your children's school schedule. We offer a variety of classes to accommodate your current level of proficiency in the Spanish language. We also offer private, semi-private, small-group and corporate classes. Class size is limited to 4 or 6 students so that each learner receives maximum individual attention and practice in conversation.

Spanish Language Center classes are designed to meet your goals. At the end of each level, our students realize the progress they have made and how much their Spanish speaking skills have improved. Our system is highly successful and very enjoyable for our students. This is the key to Spanish Language Center's ability to attract and retain our many fine students.

Spanish Level One - Beginner:
You will learn to speak Spanish in role-playing situations such as meeting people, ordering meals in restaurants, answering the phone, asking for and giving directions, discussing likes and dislikes, shopping for food and clothing, making reservations, renting a car, arriving at the hotel and train station and visiting the doctor, the post office, the bank and the airport.

Spanish Level Two Beginner - Intermediate:
Level two is a continuation of the previous level with more grammatical structure and practice to achieve and expand conversational skills. This practice increases your ability to communicate.

Spanish Level Three - Intermediate:
Level three develops vocabulary plus oral proficiency using projection transparencies depicting typical situations encountered in life. You will learn by role-playing situations such as visiting the airport, train station, the bars in Barcelona, the hotel, the store, the travel agency, the mechanic's shop, the beach, the market, the post office and the farm.

Spanish Level Four Intermediate - Advanced:
At this level, the learning system is different, but just as efficacious. We always seek to adapt our approach to your specific learning level. Vocabulary is broadened dramatically. Our method consists of providing chapters describing real life situations while traveling to Spanish-speaking countries. Each lesson includes vocabulary at the beginning to help you learn the words you will need as you review and reinforce the grammar concepts encountered in the first three levels. New vocabulary is offered in the context of situations such as introductions to family and friends, descriptions of your family, and managing everyday tasks when traveling. These include how to ask for information at airports and on trips; how to ask for reservations at restaurants and inquire about daily specials; how to place your order and pay your bill; how to discuss price when buying presents and souvenirs; and what to do when illness strikes.

Spanish Level Five Advanced - Proficiency:
A similar methodology to that in level four is offered. Our students enjoy this level very much. You will continue to enrich your vocabulary as you learn new concepts of grammar. You will use all of the verb tenses in Spanish grammar, including subjunctive and imperative. Your grammatical level will be equivalent to that of a native speaker.

Spanish Level Six - Proficiency:
This level is designed for you to relax and enjoy the class material that includes a story that develops daily in a video presentation. Exercises are given that correspond to this story. At the same time, you will learn more about the culture of the various Spanish-speaking countries. Information is presented about accents found in different regions and idiomatic expressions that are commonly used. Grammar is emphasized only to the extent that each student needs individual reinforcement.
