University of Ballarat Bachelor of Business
Fast-track your Australian Bachelor of Business in Auckland by earning credits for up to 16 courses for your New Zealand Diploma in Business (NZDipBus). Crown Institute is approved and accredited by NZQA to offer and deliver the UB Bachelor of Business in Auckland.
Programme Outline:
The Bachelor of Business is a programme for students intending to gain a strong background across the broad scope of the main business and organizational functional areas and develop a strong strategic and entrepreneurial emphasis towards innovation and the development and growth of businesses.
The Bachelor of Business (BBus) provides you with a range of career options. You might expect to be employed as a business manager, a business consultant, business analyst, researcher or planner, or to operate your own business.
Entry Requirements:
To enter the third year of the UB BBus programme at Crown, you will need to have completed a New Zealand Diploma in Business. A minimum grade average will be required.
University of Ballarat MBA
Fast-track your Australian MBA degree in Auckland when you gain your UB Bachelor of Business and then complete work experience at management level. Crown Institute is approved and accredited by NZQA to offer and deliver the UB MBA in Auckland. Enter the pathway to your master's degree at any one of several points: English language, NZDipBus, or after you complete your diploma or bachelors degree.
Programme Outline:
The MBA involves the equivalent of 12 courses of study, representing 180 credit points. Total study time for the MBA is approximately 1800 hours. The programme can be completed in 3 Semesters of full time study.
The MBA is a generalist degree intended for those with some practical experience who now wish to widen their managerial knowledge and skills. The philosophy underlying the MBA is to enable our students to deal with the many facets of management. This programme aims to develop skills in critical thinking, research and analysis through individual and team based work. A feature of the MBA is that it focuses on critical areas of integration but facilitates some specialization to accommodate specific career paths.
The programme at Crown will be made up of twelve courses. All courses are compulsory. There are no optional courses. Students must study four courses per semester/term. This requirement can only be waived in exceptional circumstances. There will be three contact hours per course per week. Classes will be held between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. A more precise timetable will be available for students about a week before the programme commences.
