Spanish Immersion Programs in Mexico

Intensive Language Group Program
Our time-tested program takes an eclectic approach which combines both traditional and current language teaching principles. It successfully develops the four language skills, grammatical reflection and the knowledge and comprehension of the Mexican culture. It makes an approach through different perspectives: the linguistic
, the thematic and the cultural.
The language class size never exceeds five students and may be smaller. All instruction is provided by a native speaker and Spanish is the exclusive language of instruction.
The program consists in four 50 minute periods of Intensive Spanish classes Monday through Friday, and cultural activities listed in the weekly school schedule.
Professional Terminology
Through these programs we offer professionals and university students of specific fields the opportunity to learn not only the Spanish language, but also the specific terminology used in their area. Please contact us for further information about our Medical Spanish Program, Pastoral Spanish Program, Business Spanish Program, Spanish for Social Workers and Spanish for Elementary School Teachers.
These programs are in groups of maximum 5 students. They consist in three 50 minute periods of Spanish Monday through Friday, and cultural activities listed in
the weekly school schedule.
To complete the total immersion, we recommend the student to live with a Mexican host family and enjoy weekend excursions to the most representative samples of prehispanic, colonial and modern Mexico.
Individual Language Program
The CLS also offers individual private instruction for students who, with an advanced ability or a restricted schedule, desire to study at a faster pace. For students who desire special language instruction in particular fields such as medicine, law, archeology or other disciplines, individual sessions can be arranged. Fees for individual specialized instruction are charged at the Individual Program rate.
Spanish & Art
Study Spanish and discover the artist within yourself!
This program combines our Intensive Language Program with afternoon art classes at the prestigious Instituto Botticelli. Through an innovative and effective methodology, Italian experts will help you to develop your skills in different art techniques. A minimum course of 24 hours (2 weeks) is required and you can select from a wide range of courses: Medieval techniques with gold leaf & egg tempera, Renaissance techniques of oil layers, Introduction to furniture decoration, Drawing through classics, Landscape painting - oil, Impressionist painting and, Creative painting.
Social Service
You can enhance your Spanish Program by volunteering in social assistance organizations or shadowing in a hospital or clinic. This experience needs a minimum stay of four weeks in order to accomplish the requirements of the institutions in where this social work is going to be done. Also an intermediate Spanish level is needed. Please contact us for further information and requirements.

A small language center located in a major port in Northwestern Mexico just below the Tropic of Cancer, in Mazatlan, the home port for a huge commercial and sportfishing fleet. Our Medical Spanish courses run jointly with the local State University school of Nursing, CMes approval by the American Academy of Family Physicians for 33 hours of Prescribed Credit when registered through Migrant Clinician Network in Austin, Texas. Volunteer program without Spanish classes available - Help a wildlife rehabilitation association or become a environmental tour guide for English Speaking groups (15 hrs.)

The Baden-Powell Institute (B-P I) Spanish School, was founded in 1987 by two Mexican teachers. It offers Spanish language courses for students from abroad as well as English language courses for Mexican students. Due to its central location, all sights are within walking distance. Experienceia: Centro De Intercambio Bilingue Y Cultural Spanish Immersion Language School - Our program emphasizes a balance of structured language learning and in vivo conversational language acquisition including an extensive evening program available to all students at no extra charge. We also include a Saturday excursion when 6 or more students are signed up. Students pay any entry fees. The Experiencia Spanish School program has more included hours for the price than any other program that we know of. We also have on campus housing as well as homestay family accommodations. We have a good mix of international students, not just students from the United States.
