Before Cortés (1517) it was the seat of the main P´urhépecha ceremonial center and a place of recreation for political and religious leaders. Now it is a beautiful small city whose irregular streets and adobe, wood and red tile architecture from the 16th Century create a charming atmosphere of harmony and peace For increased language inmersion, we recommend you consider lodging with a Pátzcuaro family, where you will have the opportunity to share two meals daily with them and enjoy an inside view of Mexican life.

Each one-month term includes 80 hours of intensive Spanish in a classroom of 10 students maximum, plus 24 hours of cultural and fun afternoon activities such as: Mexican songs classes, Mexican cooking classes and guided walking tours of San Miguel de Allende.

Courses / Programs
A small language center located in a major port in Northwestern Mexico just below the Tropic of Cancer, in Mazatlan, the home port for a huge commercial and sportfishing fleet. Our Medical Spanish courses run jointly with the local State University school of Nursing, CMes approval by the American Academy of Family Physicians for 33 hours of Prescribed Credit when registered through Migrant Clinician Network in Austin, Texas. Volunteer program without Spanish classes available - Help a wildlife rehabilitation association or become a environmental tour guide for English Speaking groups (15 hrs.)

Located in central Mexico, Morelia, is a beautiful city with a lot of history, culture, architecture and charm. Morelia is a jewel to be discovered in Colonial Mexico. The Baden-Powell Institute (B-P I) Spanish School, was founded in 1987 by two Mexican teachers. It offers Spanish language courses for students from abroad as well as English language courses for Mexican students. Due to its central location, all sights are within walking distance. Our school is attended by persons of all ages and nationalities.

International House Mexico City was founded in 1998 with the mission of teaching languages with the best quality and customer service in the country. Since 1998 International House has taught Spanish as a second language, but in January 2005 it expanded the operation to give full-time courses as well. We offer Spanish courses all year round with no enrollment fee! The school is situated in "Colonia Condesa" one of the most traditional and central areas in the city. This peaceful neighbourhood has recently become an important centre for culture, entertainment and fashion, and probably the best area to be in town. We have a Social Programme for our students.
Intensive Group Courses. Our intensive group courses consist of 4 hours tuition per day, from Monday to Friday. Spanish Teacher Training Courses. The intensive courses last for 4 weeks. The extensive teacher-training course runs over a three-month period. The starting age of our students is 16.
