Nakornpayap International School is located in San Phi Sua, Muang, Chiangmai in northern Thailand. Chiang Mai is the capital of a largely mountainous province, also called Chiang Mai, which covers 20,000 square kilometres. Chiang Mai city lies 700 kilometres north of Bangkok, and is known for its very fertile soil. Local attractions are vast temples, wood carvings and handcraft shops.


Location and Facilities:

 

Facilities at Nakornpayap International School are both modern and of a high international standard. The campus is comprised of three academic buildings; one for secondary school and administration, one is for the Elementary students and the third building which opened in August 2008 is for the Early Childhood Center. In all 29 air-conditioned classrooms.

With the completion of its new campus, NIS now includes a full-sized gymnasium, a 25-meter swimming pool, chemistry and science laboratories and a large playing field. Our library has grown year by year and now offers students at every grade level the resource materials needed to enrich their studies. A full-time, professional librarian is on hand to properly index all books and assist in research.

The computer system allows high-speed internet access from the library and brand new computer lab; the latter consisting of 20 powerful computers with LCD screens and the latest software. The cafeteria offers both western and Thai food, cooked freshly on the premises by an experienced chef.

The school also has three vans available for field trips. A daily bus service is provided for students in various regions of Chiang Mai.There is also a safe, enclosed play area for younger children situated beside the elementary building.
