Olé School of Spanish:
Olé School of Spanish in Houston, Texas, is a conversational Spanish school offering private tuition and small group classes to students of all ages and levels of Spanish. Instruction is interactive, fun and practical with curriculum adjusted to fit the needs of the students. The owner/instructor, Rebecca Bounds, has 30 years teaching experience with a repertoire including instruction to children, young adults, university students, and adults in all walks of life.

Principles and Atmosphere:

We believe that to become conversant, students need to feel comfortable in their learning environment and that the emphasis should be the spoken language. So we have created a culturally rich, home-like setting where adults and children engage in private and small group classes. Instruction is interactive, fun and practical with curriculum adjusted to fit the needs of the students.

Rebecca Bounds - Owner / Instructor:
Rebecca has written Spanish curricula for schools and conducted numerous educational workshops for teachers, here and abroad. Rebecca received her B.A. from University of Texas at Austin and M.A. from Vanderbilt University where she studied as a Teaching Fellow. She did undergraduate and graduate work with N.Y.U. in Madrid and received her bilingual teaching certificate from the University of Houston. Cultural experiences include living in Mexico and Spain, and traveling to Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Colombia.

Our Students:
We have 2 year-olds and 70 year-olds -- teachers, doctors, lawyers, social workers, students, retirees, salespersons, airline employees, construction personnel, and owners of small businesses. We provide a wide range of students with the practical Spanish they need to enrich and improve their lives in the bilingual world of today.
