Duration: 1 term, 2 terms, or 3 terms.
AUB offers a three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Film Production and international students will be fully integrated with existing degree students for the duration of your studies.
Portfolios are required from all prospective candidates who wish to do a Semester Study Abroad course at AUB.
When you apply, our Course Leaders work with you and your tutors to decide on the best year to join the programme, usually either in year one or year two.
Courses start in September and January each year and coincide with the academic timetable.
The film production course is well resourced with professional filmmaking equipment for each part of the process from pre-production to delivery of completed films.

Film Production Course Content:
This course provides practical experience of the many aspects of filmmaking, both in documentaries and drama productions.
Based around production projects and exercises, you will gain a contextual understanding of the film production process, and how all of its constituent roles and departments relate to each other, including cinematography, designing, sound, editing, production and direction.
Through specialist workshops and working on a range of short films, you will gain practical experience of both film production and digital media.
In order to complete short film exercises, you will learn how to operate basic film equipment, including cameras, simple lighting setups and sound mixers, light meters. You will actively participate in a variety of film production roles.
University / College Credit:
It is possible for students to transfer credits earned on modules completed at Arts University Bournemouth to their own universities. On successful completion of a semester course, you will be given a certificate showing the credits you have earned at AUB.
