Would you like to study Graphic Design in the UK without having to commit to a long stay? Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is the UK's leading arts university. We offer study abroad BA (Hons) semester programs for international students and professionals who want to spend time learning in the UK, but do not necessarily want to spend as much as 2-3 years studying. You will study alongside full-time degree or diploma students for one, two or three terms, and gain an excellent introduction to the fundamental theories, processes, and techniques relevant to Graphic Design. Other semester abroad options include Visual Communication, Visual Effects Design & Production, Animation, Illustration, among many others. Less than two hours from London, AUB is situated on the beautiful South Coast of England.

On successful completion of a semester course, you will be given a certificate showing the credits you have earned at AUB.

Study Abroad BA (Hons) Graphic Design Program:
Duration: 1 term, 2 terms, or 3 terms.

AUB offers a three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Graphic Design, and international students can join our full-time degree students for one or more terms.

You will be fully integrated with existing students and will benefit from the full range of resources available.

When you apply for a semester study abroad course, our course leaders will work with you and your tutors to decide on the best year to join the programme, usually either in year one or year two.

Courses start in September and January each year and coincide with the academic timetable. Each period is usually about 8–12 weeks.

Graphic Design Course Content:
Graphic design is a vehicle for communication as well as self-expression. It is about communicating to inform, educate, entertain, persuade, or any combination of these. 

In this course, you will learn the basic concepts and principles of Graphic Design, using a range of different techniques.  

This course aims to foster self-confidence and the ability to develop informed design strategies. You are also encouraged to bring your own interests and experiences to the course. 

You will engage with a variety of contextual and design issues such as user-centred design, emerging technology, sustainability, information design, service design and interactive design.

During the course, you will develop your understanding and knowledge of how, why and where graphic design exists. In addition, you will examine how it relates to society and culture through investigation and exploration of international examples.
