International Summer Camp UK - Camp Cooper:
The International Summer Camp UK delivers Camp Cooper, a residential summer camp designed for boys and girls ages 7-17 from throughout the UK and around the world. Based in the picturesque village of Crieff, close to the city of Perth in Central Scotland, and just an hour's drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh, Camp Cooper has a diverse, international community with a strong focus on forming friendships, inspiring creativity, encouraging learning and having fun. You can choose to stay for 2, 4 or 6 weeks. We provide free airport transfers from Edinburgh Airport. Our 2018 parents rated Camp Cooper 9.5 out of 10 and 100% of them would recommend us to a friend!

International Summer Camp for children and teenagers ages 7-17:

Camp Cooper offers the perfect combination of fun, friendship, learning, tradition and creativity. 

We encourage campers to participate in as many activities as possible during their time at Camp, and we strive to make each activity as fun as possible.

A typical day at Camp Cooper involves 2 individually chosen elective activities, cabin activities and evening programmes.

Elective Activities:
Elective activities provide campers with the opportunity to plan their own personalised activity schedule and choose which activities they want to try.

Our electives focus on developing skills and offer campers the chance to meet friends with similar interests.

Electives are 2 hours long and take place each weekday. Campers can choose up to 2 electives per week at Camp Cooper. Our elective activities include:

 English Language Tuition (up to 10 hours of classes per week available)  
The English language elective is for non-native English speakers of all abilities.

The English language elective will focus on teaching English in a fun, creative and supportive environment.

We believe learning English should be fun, and we teach English through games, journalism, debate, reading, creative writing, song writing, planning events, theatre, music, and creating newspapers & magazines.

 Arts + Crafts Course:
If you love art, you will love Camp Cooper’s Arts & Crafts elective. In Arts & Crafts, there is no limit to what you can create - your imagination is all you need.

Whether campers have a passion for traditional art or want to try a crazy craft project; our art & crafts elective introduces you to new art mediums and develops your potential through creative expression.

From bracelet making to tie-dye, cartoon illustration to murals, oil painting to creating cardboard forts - there are a wide range of skills to develop.

 Journalism Course:
Key Skills / Activities include: Article writing, Editing, Photography, Project management skills 
Photos of International Summer Camp UK - Camp CooperIn this elective course, campers will get the opportunity to project-manage and write articles for the Camp Cooper newspaper.

You will have the freedom to express your journalistic talents in creating a topical and creative newspaper for the rest of Camp, as well as family & friends, to enjoy. 

 Film-Making Course:
Campers learn the fundamental elements of film-making (acting, directing, set-up, lighting, and more). This is an elective bristling with creativity and expression! We use Canon D700 Cameras as our main equipment.

• Creative Superstar Course:
Activities Include: Ice-cream making, Smoothie making, Baking, T-shirt design, Comic Book Creation, Theatre set & costume design, Mural creation

This will be an elective full of creativity, competition and fun. Campers have the opportunity to find their creative flair in a range of activities such as t-shirt design, crafts, baking, comic book design and everything in between.

 Performing Arts Course:
Performing arts is perfect for the budding performer! We explore a range of performance skills from acting, singing, street dance, music and flash mobs. 

We combine workshops on different theatre skills and work as a group to devise a unique performance for the whole Camp.

 Rockstar Music Course:
Instruments / lessons include: Guitar, Piano, Drums & Singing
Campers develop their music skills by working closely with our rockstar counsellors. Campers are put into a band where they develop skills as well as work towards playing in front of the entire Camp in a concert at the end of the week!

• Dance Course:

Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced dancer, this summer dance programme will teach you how to move!

With professional instruction and choreography, campers are encouraged to work together to form their own dance routines, which encourages creativity and leadership. They will work together to create routines which will be performed in front of our supportive showcase.

 Outdoor Adventure Course:
This unique elective is designed to develop camper's communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. 

Campers will face challenges as a whole group and in smaller teams as they take on challenges such as fire building, bouldering, shelter building and raft building.

Our outdoor pursuit activities and team challenges promote cooperation, teamwork, and independent thinking.

• Sports Course:
Swimming;  Football;  Rugby;  Basketball;  Baseball;  Handball;  Ultimate Frisbee
Picture of Summer Camps in Scotland for Children & TeenagersOur sports specialists are experienced in both British and international sports, making the sports elective ideal for the sports enthusiast or the camper wanting to run, play and have fun.

Campers will be given individual and group tuition to develop personal skills in a variety of sports. Camp Cooper has sports fields, pitches, a swimming pool and sports halls. The sports elective is ideal for both the sports enthusiast or camper wanting to run, play and have fun.

• Football Course (Soccer for Girls / Boys)
The football elective is focused on refining player's technical ability - through individual coaching and group activities.

The elective will be fast-paced and encourage players to develop their skills and confidence. Geared towards players looking to play competitively, this elective will be taught by professional coaches.

• Tennis Course:
Our tennis elective develops camper’s tennis skills in a fun, positive atmosphere. Beginners will learn to develop their basic tennis strokes whilst advanced players will refine their skills and use their strengths for competitive advantage.

Campers will leave Camp Cooper with new skills, confidence and a passion for tennis.

• Golf Course:
Our golf elective is available to young players of all abilities - from complete beginner to advanced. Small group and individual tuition allow you to build your skills and confidence. 

Taught in a safe and picturesque setting, you can concentrate on your own goals, and refine the specific skills that need attention. You will enjoy time on the driving range, pitch and putt and the full golf course.

• Mountain Biking Course:
In this elective course, campers learn the fundamentals of mountain biking. Whether you are a complete novice or have some mountain biking experience, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, as well as enjoying trail riding in the beautiful scenery of the picturesque local area.

Activities include: Basic bike maintenance and repair; Learning trail etiquette; Trail riding; Mapping local trails.

Cabin Activities for all Campers:
Each day, campers will participate in Cabin Activities. These are organised by the cabin's Camp Counsellor, and are an opportunity for a cabin group to spend time together.

Cabin Activities change every day and will be based around the interests of the cabin group, giving campers the opportunity to try almost all of the activities at Camp.

Cabin Activities may include sports, arts & crafts, swimming or a new, creative, wacky activity which the campers would never have thought of and will never forget. 

The list is endless but examples include: baking brownies, photography, football match vs another cabin, arts & crafts, have a campfire with s'mores and going for a swim.

Evening & Weekend Programmes for all Campers:
Evening and weekend programmes bring the whole Camp together for Camp-wide special events.

Our special events are often the highlights of the summer, and promise to be fun, exciting and an experience to remember for years to come. These activities offer more opportunities to bond with new friends, try new activities and have fun.

 Special Events - The whole Camp comes together for the summer highlights including carnivals, colour wars, music festivals, Hawaiian luaus and competitions.
 Campfires - the traditional beginning and end to our summer at Camp. Cabin groups have the opportunity to perform songs and skits.
 Dances - Always popular with campers as they show off their latest dance moves.
 Girls/ Boys Night - Time for all of the girls to spend time together and all of the boys to spend time together. Lots of fun and silliness with sports tournaments, lip-syncing competitions, talent shows and team challenges.
 Cook-Out - Cabin groups venture into the beautiful Camp grounds. Appreciating the natural environment, cook over an open fire and toast their marshmallow to make the perfect s'more.
 Pool Party - Games, inflatable toys, music and fun as the whole Camp spend their summer afternoon splashing in the swimming pool.
