Friendly Spanish, in Clapham, South London, is a Spanish language school for adults and young people offering Spanish classes all over London. We specialise in small groups and one-to-one Spanish lessons for individuals and businesses. We pride ourselves on teaching Spanish designed for the individual, and we try to make our classes as interesting as possible. It’s important to us that you enjoy your classes, and we aim to create a relaxed environment that encourages real learning.
After eight happy years teaching Spanish as a freelance teacher in London, I decided to launch my own Spanish School in Clapham in 2006. Originally from Argentina, I also lived in Spain for eight years where I gained my teaching qualification. My current role involves managing the school and also keeping abreast of the latest teaching methods which are incorporated into classes to keep them fresh, relevant and engaging.
I feel very proud to have a fantastic team of teachers and staff working alongside me to deliver classes to students who are so eager to learn. It really gives me great satisfaction to see our students discover the beauty of the Spanish language. Our students’ success in learning is my prime concern; I make sure that I am kept informed about students’ progress in class and, from time to time, I will visit classes to see how everybody is doing. Ateneo 21 is a language school that offers tailor made Spanish language programs that enable learners to improve their ability to communicate and gain an insight into the culture and society of the Spanish speaking countries. The Spanish tutor designs lessons by drawing on a strong degree of imagination and well developed social skills. Carolina has developed study programs for specific purposes, like Spanish for Current Affairs and Preparing for your move abroad. She is currently developing a course book. Evening classes start at 6pm or 7.30pm. Unlike other language schools, our groups are very small, min 3 – max 6 students, an ideal number to practise the language as much as possible and interact with the teacher.
