Global Vision International: The GVI 100-hour TEFL course is offered in Tulum, Mexico and Phang Nga, Thailand. The GVI TEFL course was written to train people interested in sustainable development and conservation. The goal is to prepare people to teach in communities which are developing rapidly in response to tourism and assist local people in accessing the revenue in their own community, thereby participating more fully in the changes happening in their own community.
GVI run internationally recognized 50 to 100 hour Teach English as a foreign Language (TEFL) courses in Mexico. GVI TEFL courses combine unparalleled teacher training with hands on practical teaching experience and adventure/cultural activities in groups of like-minded individuals. Over 500 TEFL teachers have graduated with GVI, many of whom have gone on to teach English abroad either as a volunteer or as well paid professionals in the exciting TEFL industry.
The 100 hour TEFL Certificate course is run within a 5 or 10-week teaching and community development expedition. When doing a TEFL course with GVI you will never deliver simulated lessons to other candidates, you teach real students in real classrooms right from the start. The course focuses on developing candidates to teach with minimal use of resources and with minimal recourse to technology. Many of the most needy areas of the world teachers may wish to go to for work after gaining their certifications with GVI won’t have laptops, photocopiers or vast libraries available. The GVI 100 hour and 50 hour TEFL programs teach you to be an effective educator without such items. However, it also prepares teachers well for teaching in different contexts anywhere in the world.
The course runs Monday to Thursday, with cultural and environmental activities and projects on Fridays. The course fee includes shared accommodation and food for a full 5 weeks, plus cultural activities, excursions, and a first-aid course. Participants who complete the course requirements over the 4-week period will receive the GVI TEFL Course Certificate. Participants who choose to complete only the first two weeks of the course will receive the GVI Introduction to TEFL Certificate (A 50-hour TEFL course option is also available).

Teachers College Mexico City is an autonomous, self-governing institution, founded in 1990, and was the first institution in Mexico to implement 100% distance learning academic programs in English.
Our Teachers Academic Program has been accepted by the SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública) since 1990.
The SEP requires that all individuals who wish to teach English as a Second Language in both private and public schools in Mexico have earned their teaching credentials through a 200-hour Teachers Certificate.
Its mission is to provide affordable training and development for teachers of English as a second language through certificates, associate degrees, and masters degree in TESOL.
Our students are individuals who wish to teach English for the first time and others who are already teaching but require the 200-HOUR Teachers TESOL Certification to maintain their employment and to further their professional development as well.
Many of our students have found that there is no need to study abroad since they can study 100% in English in their own country of Mexico. All academic tutoring is provided through e-mail and only at the request of the student since our programs include instructions which are highly detailed and self explanatory.
