- Increased Employment Opportunities
Improve your chances of finding a fulfilling job in a career field you like.

Whether you work in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) areas, healthcare, or in business, a masters degree opens the door to rewarding positions for those who wish to work at a higher skill level in their field.

- Increased Earning Potential
Studies completed in 2012 showed that the median earnings for young adults with a masters degree or higher was $59,600.

This figure was approximately 27% more than young adults who only possessed a bachelor's degree.

While starting salaries vary greatly depending on what your major is, there is no doubt that a graduate degree is much more valuable monetarily speaking. Of course, a higher salary will generally accompany greater responsibilities or skills required.

- Stand out from the crowd
With third-level education becoming the norm for many American students, there is an ever-increasing pool of new graduates armed with just their bachelor's degree.

Spending the extra 2/3 years in graduate school gives you a competitive edge that will increase your job opportunities.
