Edexcel Higher National Certificate in Business
These courses have 10 Units:

HNC students normally want the qualification to enhance their career prospects. In the UK an HNC gains exemptions from many professional examinations.

Edexcel Higher National Diploma in Business
These courses have 16 Units:
- HND in business
- HND in business (Finance)
- HND in business (Management)
- HND in business (Marketing)
- HND in business (Human Resources Management)

The HND is equivalent to the first two years of a business degree. Many students "top up" their HND to a BA (Hons) degree by studying further. Stratford Business School has a partnership arrangement with Bournemouth University, who provide a distance learning BA (Hons) top up programme.

HNC to HND "Top Up"
If you already have an HNC, or have partially completed one, then you can "top up" to a full HND by achieving 6 more Units. These can be studied entirely by distance learning and so can be achieved even if you are in full time employment.

Level 7 Edexcel Diploma in Management Studies
The Diploma in Management Studies has 9 Units - The six CMS Units above, plus:
- Management Research
- Leadership of Your Organisation
- Managing Financial Principles

The Units all present experienced managers with the challenge of applying management theory to the workplace. The Creative Manager Unit is a major project, which applies management theory to develop new approaches to management in your own work. The DMS gains entry, and exemptions, for MBA study. Stratford Business School has a partnership agreement with Northampton University, who provide our DMS holders with a one year distance learning "top up" to MBA.
