Located in Austin, Travis County, Texas, Marvelous Mandarin: Chinese Language & Culture Academy specializes in teaching Mandarin Chinese language to children and adults. Our children's programs are great fun and include a variety of cultural enrichment programs like Chinese art & crafts, calligraphy, strategy games and other stimulating activities. Mandarin Chinese Language Programs (Kids & Teens):

Little Pandas Rhythmic Mandarin Chinese Language Program:
For toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years & their parents. 
This class is intended to encourage babies and toddlers to learn Chinese through games, singing, dancing and other fun activities they can do together with their parents in a stimulating learning environment.

It has long been proven by researchers that language acquisition skills reach their peak by ages 6 or 7. Children that are exposed to a language between 1 and 6 years old have an almost universal success rate at achieving near fluency and perfect accents.

WaWa Mandarin House Chinese Program:
Kids ages 3-10
"WaWa" means 'doll' or 'kid' in Mandarin. This program is a fun-filled total immersion program for kids ages 3-10. It is designed to help them learn Mandarin quickly and effectively through total immersion in a Chinese Only environment. Maximum 5 students per class. 

Cultural Journey Mandarin Chinese Language After School Program:
Open to all elementary school students:
This program is intended for children who want to be involved in unique, creative, cultural and deeply educational activities after school. This program combines daily Chinese Language Courses and select Chinese culture enrichment programs. Class size = up to 15 students.

Mandarin Immersion Summer Camp 2013
Ages 3-4 and 5-10

Session 1 - Legends Come Alive
From the whimsical and versatile Monkey King to the brave and intelligent heroine Mulan, your children will discover the magic and wonder of some of China’s most famous legends. Through storytelling and fun theatre skits students will have a blast learning Mandarin while getting dressed up, having their faces painted, dancing and acting out their favorite stories.

Session 2 - Chopstick Adventures
Enjoying worldwide reputation, perhaps nothing is more impressive than the diverse, complex, healthy and delicious authentic Chinese cuisine. This is one of our most popular sessions each year as students learn Mandarin while playing, cooking and learning the stories behind traditional foods like dumplings, noodles and rice pyramids.

Session 3 - Dancing With Lions
If you could visit China during Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) you’d be amazed by the huge variety of exciting festivities, music, fireworks and dancing which have been a part of the culture for thousands of years. During this camp session, your children will have the opportunity to learn Mandarin and live the excitement through lion dancing, Chinese yoyo performing, sword dancing and other traditional Chinese performing arts.

Session 4 - Jade, Paper, Scissors!
China has had a long and glorious history when it comes to both art and traditional crafts. From Chinese brush-painting to origami, and paper-cutting to embroidery, students will learn Mandarin while doing all kinds of fun art projects and competing for prizes.
