With Al Bayt Al Arabi, adult students have a full immersion experience in Arabic culture without leaving the U.S.! Conveniently located in Potomac MD, just 14 miles north of Downtown DC, we provide Arabic homestay language and culture programs. Our intensive courses feature Arabic language lessons, cultural activities, and accommodation with a local Middle Eastern family in the Washington DC Area.

Arabic Language Immersion Programs:
- Includes homestay accommodation with local Middle Eastern family

Full Arabic Immersion Program:
- Duration: 1-2 weeks

Our standard course is a week or two weeks of intensive Arabic training and cultural immersion. Students will be fully immersed in Middle Eastern Culture as they live with a Syrian family during their stay.

The main component of the program is 4 hour intensive Arabic daily classes. The program also includes cultural activities such as cooking classes, movie night, excursions, etc.

Weekend Arabic Immersion Courses:
- 8 hour & 14 hour study options

The 'Weekend Intensive Course' includes a total of 8 hours of instruction. The 'Crash Weekend Course' includes a total 14 hours of instruction.

The Crash course is designed for students who want a quick boost of their language skills for upcoming occasions such as Proficiency tests.

Arabic Exam Preparation:
Special courses are offered to prepare for different exams such as the OPI, ILR and APT tests. We also offer courses in MSA as well as three different dialects;

Courses / Programs

• Located in the heart of Washington DC, the International Language Institute provides a quality foreign language courses to students from around the world, including beginner to advanced level Arabic group classes.

• In addition to these General Arabic courses (with 13 different proficiency levels), we also provide a specialized Advanced Arabic Media course.

• Certificate of Completion: On successful completion of the group language program with the required attendance and 'Passing grade' achieved, students can receive a Certificate.

• Regular group classes meet once weekly in the evening or on Saturday mornings for 10 weeks. Each session is 2.5 hours. Accelerated classes meet twice per week.
