American Culture Immersion:
Serving the Washington DC, Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia areas, DC American Cultural Immersion (DCACI) offers a variety of English language services that educate and accommodate individuals, groups or organizations who are new to American culture and language. Our programs are delivered to students at their home, over the telephone, or online - and include English language programs, accent coaching, public speaking lessons and more. The DCACI team are devoted to consulting and coaching in American acclimation, culture, etiquette and accent reduction for clients of all levels.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs
We offer fast and efficient ESL language classes and tutoring lessons to help non-native English speakers improve their performance, communication and grammatical skills in school or at the workplace. Our hands-on courses are suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels and are available online or in person. They follow a specific curriculum and text book. All individuals will be tested and evaluated regularly.

DCACI offers accent coaching that is customized and tailored to fit each individuals specific needs. The two most important and often overlooked aspects in learning a language, especially the English language is to first reduce your accent and second, maintain clear lines of communication and pronunciation.

Remember, the object of clear communication is to be understood. If you speak English as a second language but constantly feel frustrated because no one understands, don’t worry; DCACI can help! We teach the standard American accent that is not associated with any particular part of the United States.

Public Speaking
In this customized public speaking course students can lean how to improve their business, social and cultural communication. By the end of this course students should be able to identify and analyze components of the communication process. Students should also be able to recognize the value of public speaking, their own strengths and weaknesses, and different methods for how to speak and communicate in an effective manner.
