Situated in Highland Park in Middlesex County NJ, between Edison and New Brunswick, Health Professional Institute (HPI) is a dedicated allied health continuing education provider. We offer a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training program that consists of 50 hours of classroom training and 40 hours of clinical training. We also provide Home Health Aide, Phlebotomy & EKG Technician training.

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Training Program:
- Duration: 90 hours (50 hours classroom learning + 40 hours clinical preparation)

The CNA training program is geared toward individuals who are entering the healthcare field and would benefit from providing services in a controlled environment under the supervision of senior professional staff. It requires no prior medical experience.

Our courses explore the many facets of patient care through lectures, audio video, and hands-on demonstrations, and are taught by a dedicated staff of seasoned health care practioners and experts.

- Introduction to Your Role As a Nurse Aid
- Introduction to Long-Term Care (LTC)
- Accident Prevention, Emergency Healthcare, and Infection Control
- Meeting Physical Needs: Lifting, Moving, Positioning

What is a CNA / Certified Nurse Aide?
Also known as nurse's aides, orderlies, patient care technicians and health aides, CNAs assist nurses in supplying basic patient care, including bathing, grooming and feeding needs, assistance with medical equipment, and measuring vital signs, in addition to providing vital social and emotional support.
