Using the telephone is one of the most challenging aspects of learning English because you can't watch a person's mouth as they form words and you can't see their body language. It is easy to misunderstand what is being said and to miss the subtleties of the conversation.

Practice speaking and listening over the phone with lead language instructor, Jake Carpenter. Jake will help you improve your phone listening skills and help you with pronunciation, vocabulary and general ease of conversation over the phone. Each phone class will be customized to focus on exactly what you want to learn, especially those situations in which you have had difficulty understanding and being understood on the phone.

Internet English
Improve your English speaking skills easily and conveniently using the Internet. Now you can have your own private tutor come to you wherever you are via your home or office computer. Beverly Hills English will work with you to improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, understanding of American slang and general ease of conversation. All you need is a monitor-mounted camera, a microphone and MSN Messenger or Skype software.

Each class will be customized to focus on exactly what you want to learn conveniently, with flexible class times and no travel! In addition to your having direct visual and aural communication with Jake via your computer, he will type in particularly difficult words or phrases, and you can see them in real-time on your screen. This reinforces learning by allowing you to print out and refer to troublesome words for later study.

- Be prepared for typical interview questions.
- Understand the importance of your "body language" and how it will be interpreted by American interviewers.
- Role-play different interview situations.
- Know what job-related questions you can ask in an American interview and what questions you should avoid.
- Know what to do after an interview, including important follow-up contact.
