Rio&Learn, Rio de Janeiro:
Rio&Learn is a Portuguese language school for foreigners in the exciting city of Rio de Janeiro. We teach students from all over the world at Brazil's most famous beach - Copacabana! We provide Basic Portuguese courses, intensive Portuguese immersion programs, classes for business professionals, private Portuguese lessons and more. We offer afternoon activities for free so you can discover Rio while practicing your Portuguese language skills.

All of the teachers at Rio&Learn are native Portuguese speakers and university-educated, and they are experienced Portuguese teachers. Our programmes follow specific activities and well-defined methods to ensure that teachers always follow the school’s dual methodology of Funlearning and Livelearning. To achieve this, all our teachers are dynamic and continually encourage students to participate in classes.

Our classes are never translated into another language. We coach our students to handle and express themselves in real life, where native speakers do not usually know of word of the student’s native language. Our groups are small (maximum of seven students per class), so our teachers’ attention is truly focused on your learning needs and you can ask any questions to clarify your understanding.

Our objective is to produce classes that get students talking. We develop activities where students have to interact and converse with native speakers outside the classroom. This helps our students to learn to communicate as quickly as possible and lose any shame or fear of speaking with natives. Real conversation accelerates language learning by assimilating it to our feelings and actual thoughts.

- Basic Portuguese Course (20 hours per week): Learn Portuguese while enjoying our “Cidade Maravilhosa”. You can attend RioLIVE! activities which allow you to “live” the city and its culture.
- Portuguese Immersion Program (40 hours per week): An intensive course with a teacher exclusive to you.

RioLIVE!  are activities that we offer each evening to discover Rio de Janeiro, while practicing your Portuguese with Livelearning method. with RioLIVE! activities every day you discover something of Brazil or the Cidade Maravilhosa, from visiting the best places in the city, to practice your steps of samba, forró dance, beach activities, go see a football game … Every day you will have RioLIVE! activities for two or three hours where all students will go accompanied by a teacher of Portuguese who tries to encourage everyone to communicate in Portuguese. Through these activities, you can go sightseeing and experience the culture of the country while interacting in Portuguese.
