Welcome to the Casa Do Caminho Language Centre in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Would you like to learn Portuguese or Spanish while supporting an orphanage? We offer affordable language courses and your tuition fees support Brazilian children at the orphanage Casa do Caminho. Our language centre is located 3 blocks away from the famous Ipanema beach. You can enjoy affordable classes in beautiful surroundings. We offer classes for adults, children, businesses as well as customized lessons. We offer regular and intensive courses at flexible times in the morning, afternoon and evening. There are no registration or other hidden fees. Most of our teachers and staff work voluntarily to support the organization. We are an honest and affordable language school boasting quality education as our teachers are experienced, well-trained, native speakers of the languages they instruct. We also offer translation services at good rates.

We offer language courses from R$150 per month (approximately 49€, US$65). We provide three types of Portuguese Language Classes: Group, Private and custom made lessons at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Additionally, these can be undertaken at either a standard or an intensive pace, over a week or a month, to suit students' individual requirements.

Whichever course you decide to take you should be able to achieve all key learning points during this time and notice a real improvement in your portuguese language skills.

Intensive:
Our intensive programme also offers the option of a 45 minutes of conversation practice on Fridays. This time can be used to clarify doubts, practice conversation, catch up on missed lessons and receive personal guidance on learning progress.

Group:
To book your group classes it is important to give us as much advance notice as possible book early in order that we can so we have time to form a group of students and so the teacher has time to prepare his the classes. In the event of students joining a class that has already started, free catch up classes will be offered to avoid disrupting existing students learning.

Private Classes:
We also offer private lessons, ideal for those who want flexibility, prefer a one-on-one style of learning or want to solely focus on conversation practice. The content and method will be customized to the student.

Tailor-made courses:
Business course: If you have a business and want all your employees to learn English, Spanish or Portuguese this is the ideal option for you. The course programme will be tailor-made to cover your specific business needs. The teacher can travel to the workplace and the prices are negotiable.

If you have friends who want to learn a language together and you are all at the same level you can create your own course. You will have the advantage of choosing the length of the course, timetable and contents.
