Group & Private Portuguese lessons in Rio de Janeiro

Caminhos Language Centre, Rio de Janeiro:
Situated just a few blocks from the world famous Ipanema Beach and Copacabana, Caminhos Language Centre is the largest and most exciting Portuguese school in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We offer high quality Portuguese courses for adults and children in a relaxed and fun environment. Our Brazilian teachers are carefully selected university graduates. Our methodology is based on the communicative approach and we offer unique course material. Our teachers also use experiences of daily life to teach Portuguese lessons, helping students grasp the Brazilian street talk known as 'gíria', important when learning to navigate the streets of Rio.

Brazilian Portuguese Language Classes:
- Beginner to Advanced levels

At Caminhos, you can choose between Portuguese group courses and private classes. We have a minimum of 8 Portuguese group courses at 4 levels running every weekday throughout the year. Intensive Portuguese courses run from Monday to Friday for 4 hours per day.

In addition to Intensive courses it is possible to take Caminhos Talk. Caminhos Talk is a complementary Portuguese course designed to improve your conversation skills. For Spanish and Italian speakers we offer a Latin Group course. This beginner course runs for one week instead of four weeks.

Private classes are tailored to suit your needs, enabling you to study Portuguese at your own pace. You decide when, where and how classes are taken. We have several private class options, including: regular private classes; Celpe-Bras preparation and Portuguese Immersion programme.

Caminhos Intensive (group class)
- 5 days per week (Monday to Friday),
- 4 hours per day in a small group.
- Levels: Beginner (A), Pre-Intermediate (B1), Intermediate (B2) and Advanced (C) 

Caminhos Talk (group class)
- A stand-alone or complementary Portuguese course to improve your conversation skills.
- 3 days per week, 2,5 hours per day in a small group.

Caminhos Latin Group Special (group class)
- Short beginner group course (L) for students with advanced level Spanish or Italian.
- 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 4 hours per day in a small group.

Caminhos Private:
- Private Portuguese classes tailored to your individual needs.
- You choose the date, time, location and the number of hours to suit your availability.
- You choose the focus of the course (grammar, conversation, informal, business, etc).
 
Celpe-Bras Preparation:
Private course to obtain the Celpe-Bras certification, the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners (recognised by the Brazilian Ministry of Education)

Rio Immersion Program:
For people who prefer to study Portuguese in Rio de Janeiro outside of a traditional classroom setting we offer a Portuguese Immersion Program.

In Rio Immersion your teacher will also act as a city guide to teach you Portuguese while you explore the 'Cidade Maravilhosa' ('Marvellous City') of Rio de Janeiro.

You can learn Brazilian Portuguese while visiting places like Christ The Redeemer, Copacabana, Santa Teresa or The Sugar Loaf Mountain.
