Medical Assistants are on the rise! The Medical Assisting Program is 750 Clock hours and it takes 4-9 months to complete. All modules must be completed in order to graduate. Students are placed into lab and clinical practice in physicians' offices upon the completion of the program, which offers maximum flexibility to the student, allowing for the development of specific skills within a chosen specialty area. Such skills encompass those of administrator, clinician, or technician. Upon completion of this (4-9) months program, the student may be eligible to sit for the national certification exam of the National Healthcareer Association to obtain the credential of Certified Medical Assistant (CMA-AAMA).
READY TO GET STARTED???.....To REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM:
You must complete the enrollment package and be accepted into the next available program. AFTER REGISTRATION:
You must be ready to commit to your financial assistance
You must attend a CPR class (no other pre-requisite required)
You must purchase your medical scrubs and required supplies (books are included in the program)
You must be ready to start classes
TO START CLASSES:
1. Bring a notebook, Pen, Pencil and makers
2. Make your tuition payment at least 10 days prior to start date. (
3. Follow policies and attend classes (you can only miss 3 days)
4. Graduate and Succeed!
In just a few weeks, you can become a caregiver or phlebotomist. Day and evening classes are available and classes are offered 4-8 times a year.
CNA prep- This program prepares students to take the CNA board exam. Student will learn all facets of the State requirements. Students have the option to take the State exam at the facility or at a regional center. Training is hands on and can be completed in 1 week during the day or 2 weeks at night. For those without any prior experience or certification, we recommend the full program which includes the Home Health Aide (3-5 weeks).

Certified Nursing Assistant:1-2 weeks
Phlebotomy Technician: 3-6 weeks
Patient Care Technician: 4-6 months
Medical Assistant: 4-9 months
The Accounting Specialist programs is a 4-6 that will provides students with a foundation in basic accounting principles, procedures, and theories of organizing, analyzing and recording business and financial transactions, and the preparation of accompanying financial records and reports. Students will be prepared for employment in positions such as bookkeeper, tax preparer and accounting technician. This program can also serve as supplemental training for individual in a management position. This program is offered twice a year and based on enrollment. To apply, candidates must submit a registration package.
We understand the challenge for those who are unable to afford the tuition. SWVT offers an array of financial assistance. We offer 10 ways to pay off your low tuition. Compared to competitors are tuition are typically 10% to 25% less.
We also offer job assistance to those who successfully complete our programs. Graduates must be ready, persistent and available to begin the job search process. Last year, we maintained a 80% job assistance rate.
To apply for financial assistance, we encourage our candidates to contact the office for an appointment to discuss their needs. We do not turn our students away if there's a way to assist them. We help them explore all options.
