Located 25 miles southeast of South Bend, in Goshen, North Indiana, Goshen College is a private, co-educational, residential, college of the liberal arts and sciences rooted in the Anabaptist-Mennonite tradition.
The Sign Language Interpreting Department at Goshen College offers major and minor degree programs in American Sign Language. Our major programs are designed to prepare graduates for a professional interpreting career and to use their skills in service to the community as teachers and in the church.
The major courses have concentrations in ASL-English Interpreting or teacher education. The minor program is for students who wish to expand their language skills and cultural knowledge or to enhance other majors such as education, social work, psychology, etc. As part of the Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures Department we provide majors and minors in Spanish as well as lessons in French, Arabic, Khmer, Mandarin and Swahili.
