Connecticut College:
Connecticut College, situated on the coast of southern Connecticut, New England (midway between New York and Boston), is a highly selective private liberal arts college. We offer Certificate, Pre-Professional, Bachelor Degree and Masters Degree programs in career fields such as the arts, sciences, humanities and social sciences. At Connecticut College, you'll find a challenging academic program, distinguished faculty and a friendly campus community that’s actively involved with athletics and more than 60 student-run clubs and organizations.
Connecticut College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
Green Living:
We've been leaders in environmental education and advocates for environmental sustainability since 1969, when Connecticut College became one of the first schools to offer a major in human ecology. Our Goodwin-Niering Center for Conservation Biology and Environmental Studies brings together faculty and students from the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities to find interdisciplinary approaches to environmental challenges.
Academic Centers:
Academic centers are unique programs that encourage the exploration of important issues across traditional disciplinary boundaries. Through four of these centers, you can earn a certificate by completing a two-year program of coursework, a summer internship and a senior integrative project, in addition to the requirements of your major.
Requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree at Connecticut College include 128 semester hours of academic credit distributed among general education, elective courses, and the academic major. A Connecticut College education is significantly broader than the accumulation of the academic credits that constitute the minimum requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree. Students may also choose to double major, self-design their major, and choose to minor.
