You will learn how to observe physical, mental and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nursing or medical staff.

Patient Care Tech - Working closely with doctors and other medical professionals, a Patient Care Technician administers therapeutic programs and monitors the condition of patients. You will use your technical knowledge to provide direct patient care including phlebotomy (blood work) and EKG's. This course prepares individuals as entry level Nursing Technicians. Students must have passed the Nursing Assistant Exam and be certified.

Phlebotomy - In this course, you will learn the basic principles of blood drawing, identification of color coded tubes, practicing blood draw on artificial arm, universal precut (Precautions), and common sites of venipuncture and skin puncture. In addition, you will be taught isolation techniques and how to handle the specimens for accurate results.

EKG Technician - The aim of this course is to teach you the techniques and operation of accurate EKG recording. It will prepare you to take the national certification exam for electrocardiograph technicians. You will learn the basic principles of electropysiology of the heart and how to recognize electrocardiograph waveforms. The course also covers medical terminology and medical law.
