Medical Assisting
A Medical Assistant (MA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) assists nurses and physicians with a variety of administrative and medical tasks. Medical assisting is one of many allied health careers. Most medical assistants work in a doctor's office. There are many different types of medical assistant jobs available, which makes it a versatile career choice.

Medical Office Specialist
Medical office specialists are very important to a medical office or hospital. The medical office specialist is often the first person a patient may interact with over the phone or upon arriving at a medical office. Therefore, the medical office specialist is integral to shaping the patient's first impression of the medical practice, which could shape the patient-provider relationship for the long-term.

Medical Coding and Billing
Medical coders work in the billing office, or "back office" of medical practices or hospitals. Medical coders help to complete, review, and process medical claims to help physician practices and hospitals get reimbursed from insurance companies for services and facilities provided to patients. Each medical procedure and patient encounter has a number, or CPT code, associated with it which corresponds to another code for a diagnosis (an ICD code).

Manicure
Today's nail technicians are proficient in a variety of nail services including, but not limited to manicures, pedicures, nail sculpting, nail art, silk and fiberglass wraps, gel nails and hand and foot massage.

Cosmetology
A beauty school education could lead you to the exciting worlds of fashion and entertainment. Become a celebrity stylist by working with local, national or international models and celebrities. If you have the talent, creativity and stay current with beauty and fashion trends, working behind the scenes in the entertainment industry could become a reality.

Esthetician
Esthetics, the principles and practice of skin care and spa therapies, is a rapidly evolving industry and this evolution is driving the need for more skilled practitioners. An aging population, eager to reap the benefits of advanced skin care techniques and technologies, has created a huge demand for highly trained estheticians.
