Getting to Know English Centre - GTKEC:
Located in the central Pretoria student hub of Hatfield, Getting to Know English (GTKEC) provides a range of English language classes at beginner to advanced levels. As well as General English classes, we also provide in-depth preparation courses for TOEFL, IELTS and the Cambridge Examinations. Our learners are immersed in the English language, and benefit from a supportive one-on-one relationship with their experienced and professional tutors.

English Language Courses in Pretoria:
For beginner, intermediate to advanced ESL levels

General English / ESOL Classes:
Our ESOL programme consists of 6 different levels from Starters to Advanced, furthermore our learners have the option of taking an internationally accredited ESOL examination since we are a Cambridge approved Centre.

EBC Business English Course:
A SAQA aligned, business administration qualification which consists of the following learning units:

We have recently moved into our new premises, a beautiful, large Victorian house, with a lovely outdoor area and a swimming pool. The classrooms have been beautifully appointed and modern audio visual teaching materials are used. The school is now situated in Green Point - a very popular part of Cape Town on the Atlantic Coast. Green Point hosts a great variety of restaurants and pubs. The school building is a few minutes walk from the beachfront and the ever bustling Waterfront can be reached within 5 minutes on foot. Our classes are dynamic, multicultural and fun with students from all over the world. Most of our students are between 18 - 35, and come from Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Poland and Japan - but we have many students from other countries such as Angola, Zaire and Brazil. The Cape Town School of English is a Language school in Cape Town specialising in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) since 1991. We offer an internationally recognised Certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in Cape Town and other centres throughout South Africa.

We have trained TEFL teachers on an ongoing basis for 16 years and are well established in the TEFL Training field. We require that all applicants have English first language proficiency and tertiary education or work experience.
