Brandon College, San Francisco:
Located on Market Street in the centre of San Francisco in California, Brandon College specializes in teaching English to foreign students, professionals and visitors from all over the world. Classes are held year-round and start every Monday. We offer instruction at all levels, for the absolute beginner to the very advanced students. We offer a range of morning and afternoon classes which can be combined depending on students' needs.

English Language Courses:
Year-round English language programs for all levels from beginner to advanced. Our classes are kept small in order to ensure a high degree of student-teacher interaction. Average class-size is 6 to 8 students. Very often, students from more than 25 different countries study at Brandon College.

- Intensive English Language Programs:
The intensive English course is the most comprehensive and popular course at Brandon College. We offer continuous instruction throughout the year with classes beginning every Monday. Our classes focus on grammar, writing, conversation, pronunciation, listening, reading and vocabulary. The purpose of the program is to enable students to obtain sufficient knowledge to become fluent in all areas of English.

- General English Language Programs:
The general English is a part-time course for short-term students and visitors from all over the world. This course follows the same curriculum as the popular intensive English course, but the Friday Workshops are optional. We offer continuous instruction throughout the year with classes beginning every Monday. Our classes focus on grammar, writing, conversation, pronunciation, listening, reading and vocabulary.

- One-to-One Private English Language Classes:
Private classes are individual tailor-made lessons with one student and one teacher. Each session can last 1, 2, 3, 4 or more hours, based on customer request. Minimum course length is 10 hours. A private teacher and the student develop an individualized curriculum that addresses the student's specific needs and English requirements. Student and teacher work very closely and evaluate the progress made on a regular basis. The student can decide how many hours of instruction per week, and when the course begins and ends. Our academic counsellor will assist in putting together the exact class schedule.

- English Language Conversation Courses:
The Conversation Course is the most popular afternoon class for students who want to improve their communication skills. This class gives the students the extra practice needed to become more fluent. The main idea of the conversation course is to focus on the students' ability to express themselves in everyday situations. Students work on pronunciation, vocabulary and idioms to further develop their conversational skills. They also receive individualized feedback on grammar and pronunciation errors.

- English Language Exam Preparation Courses:

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL):
We are offering a TOEFL Preparation Course which is designed to help students acquire the skills and confidence necessary to get a high score on the new, internet-based TOEFL test (TOEFL iBT). TOEFL is recognized throughout the world by universities and businesses and measures your English proficiency. A high TOEFL score is required by most US colleges and universities for admission of international students.

The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC):
TOEIC evaluates the ability to use English in an international working environment.
Over 5 million people have taken the TOEIC test. More than 2000 international companies use TOEIC scores for English language assessment and employee selection.

Cambridge ESOL:
Brandon College offers preparation programs for the University of Cambridge Examinations in English (FCE, CAE).
Cambridge Examination Certificates are internationally recognized English Language qualifications. They are highly valued by employers in many countries.
The courses start twice a year and the official Cambridge Exam is taken during the week following the 12-week course.

* First Certificate in English (FCE):  The FCE is the most popular of all the Cambridge examinations. We offer this course to students at the High Intermediate level. The examination requires knowledge of all the language skills and is widely recognized in educational institutions, industry, and commerce as proof of language ability at the upper-intermediate level. Certificates are awarded to students who pass the exam with grade A, B or C. 

* Certificate in Advanced English (CAE):  The CAE examination offers a high-level final qualification in the language to those who need to use English extensively in their jobs. Our preparation is offered to students at the Advanced level. This exam is designed fro candidates ranging from adolescents to young professionals.

- CBT Computer Lab (Computer Based TOEFL Preparation):
We offer students a TOEFL CBT Computer Lab where they can learn the necessary skills to successfully pass the computer-based test with a higher score. This is a self-study program which is available to all students. Brandon College developed an exclusive CBT Learning Chart which allows the students to document their practice test results and to see their own learning curve.

- Business English Language Program:
We are offering a practical Business English Program for the development of commercial and cross-cultural communication skills.The course is designed for business executives, professionals, entrepreneurs and business graduates to build language confidence through improved comprehension and to develop fluency and accurate pronunciation.

- Homestay Program With a Local Family:
Learn the English language through immersion by living locally with an American family. Students will also learn about the American way of life and culture.
