Universiteit Maastricht Business School is one of the 30 business schools out of around 3500 worldwide to hold Triple Accreditation. This means that UMBS belongs to the select club of less than 1% of the business schools in the world that are Triple Crown accredited as it is also called.
These accreditations – AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA – are rigorous quality assessment processes. The processes involves submitting an in-depth self-audit report followed by a panel of assessors visiting the school and interviewing students, alumni, staff, faculty members, corporate clients and employers.
AACSB International is the accreditation by the USA-based Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB awards accreditation following a review of quality degree programmes delivered by the school. AACSB investigates the quality of students and staff, teaching and research, resources and services, and the interaction between students and staff.
EQUIS is the European Quality Improvement System administered by the European Foundation for Management Development (efmd) in Brussels, Belgium. EQUIS is awarded on the basis of quality on the entire range of management programmes of the school and assesses the school’s strategy, quality of resources, students, services, programmes, research, degree of internationalization, and connections to the corporate world. The fundamental objective is to raise the standard of management education worldwide.
AMBA is the accreditation by the Association of MBAs based in the UK. AMBA focuses specifically on MBA programmes and assesses the business schools’ MBA programmes against a set of criteria including quality of teaching and research, administrative support, resources and facilities, admissions procedure, quality of students, design and content of the curriculum, structure, duration and delivery.

Arnhem Business School is a faculty of the HAN University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen) in Arhhem in the eastern part of the Netherlands, approximately 80kms from Amsterdam.
