Amsterdam University College:
The Amsterdam University College learning experience will combine study with cultural and social life in an international and residential campus setting. AUC is situated within the city of Amsterdam. The residential campus is located in the Science Park Amsterdam, in the Watergraafsmeer district of the city. When AUC opens, its academic buildings will be centrally located on the eastern edge of Amsterdam city centre, in the lovely Plantage neighbourhood. This is only a short distance from the student residences in the Science Park Amsterdam.
AUC will use the historic building at Plantage Muidergracht 14 as its main academic building. The beautiful Artis Library building at Plantage Middenlaan 45, situated opposite the main academic building on the other side of a small public park, will also be used by AUC. These two historic buildings, both registered monuments, will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. In addition to the classrooms, the buildings will offer study areas, a common room, reading rooms and library facilities and a cafe. Modern information technology will support all study activities, and you will have access to laboratories for any practical work required for your study programme.
The historic Artis Library is one of the buildings that AUC will use as an academic building. It is located on the Plantage Middenlaan, a few minutes walk from the main AUC academic building on the Plantage Muidergracht, on the other side of a small public park.
