There are two main options for Accommodation in Coventry. The first option is staying in Coventry Universities own wide variety of accommodation which is available for both undergraduates and postgraduate students. The  Student Accommodation  is responsible for all university accommodation enquires, please contact them and they will be happy to assist. All accommodation offered by the university or private landlords require students to sign a legal contract, which means you promise to remain in the property and pay all rents for the duration of the contract which will be for a minimum of 6 months but is usually for one year or for university accommodation the duration of the contract is usually until the end of the academic year. Students are strongly advised to read contracts and can even get them checked by the Student Advice centre in the Students Union before you sign them. Once you have signed a housing contract you will not be able to ‘break’ that contact and will remain responsible for paying the rent on the property. Sometimes landlords will allow you to find a replacement if you wanted to leave. Please note that the landlords/agents do not have to accept your replacement.
