German Language School New York:
All classes are taught by native German teachers, and thus The German Language School New York in Manhattan place special attention on the development of the spoken language. Between the age of 14-18 years we offer our students the opportunity to participate in certified exams that make them eligible to receive college credits or to study at a German university. We also help our students prepare for the Advanced placement exam and the SAT II in German. Our classes are structured as follows: 1. Playgroup (3-4 years), 2. Kindergarten (4-5 years), 3. Unterstufe (6-10 years), 4. Mittelstufe (10-14 years), 5. Oberstufe (14-18 years), 6. Adult Beginners, 7. Adult Advanced.
German Language Courses:
Beginner, intermediate, advanced classes, adult classes, kids' lessons. In cooperation with the United Nations International School, we also offer a program for native German children aged 8 -12.
School Profile- History:
Originally language schools were founded because immigrants wanted to preserve the language and culture for their children.
Our school was founded in 1954 and is incorporated as a non-profit organization. Up to today, the administration is run by volunteers.
Our goal is still to provide an experience for students to learn and enhance their language skills as well as cultural understanding.

KinderHaus is a full-time German immersion KinderGarten, pre-school and after-school program based in Park Slope, in western Brooklyn, New York City's most populous borough. KinderHaus serves NYC's local and international community. German-American School is a private, not-for-profit German language school that offers an after-school German language program for children from the ages of 4 - 15 throughout the Greater New York City area. We also offer German classes for adults. We offer our classes in convenient locations in Manhattan, NYC; Ridgewood, Queens; Garden City and Franklin Square in Long Island.
Currently 320 students ages 4-15 attend our after-school German programs. We have a staff of 21 experienced teachers, many of whom have been with us for many years.
No previous German language knowledge is required to enter our language program. Our after-school classes meet once a week for 1.75 hours. The German-American school has been Regents-accredited since 1911.
