Currently 320 students ages 4-15 attend our after-school German programs. We have a staff of 21 experienced teachers, many of whom have been with us for many years.
No previous German language knowledge is required to enter our language program. Our after-school classes meet once a week for 1.75 hours. The German-American school has been Regents-accredited since 1911.
Deutsches Haus is a non-profit organization and operates under the umbrella of the Faculty of Arts and Science of New York University; since 1977 its university affiliation has provided a solid academic basis. We offer German Language Courses for adults and children and are operating as the official Language program of the Goethe-Institut New York, as well as its official examination center.
Our children's classes cater to both bilingual German children as well as beginners, Pre-K through age 10. Adults may register for courses in all language levels from beginner through very proficient. Deutsches Haus also offers a wide range of cultural events and a bookclub.

Hills Learning is a language school located in Manhattan, New York City offering Japanese language courses for kids, teenagers and adults of all abilities. Our Japanese programs for kids combine fun and interactive language activities with quality language instruction.
We offer both group classes, private lessons, and intensive Japanese courses. Group classes are held at Hills Learning center in Manhattan, but private classes can be held at the student’s home. KinderHaus is a full-time German immersion KinderGarten, pre-school and after-school program based in Park Slope, in western Brooklyn, New York City's most populous borough. KinderHaus serves NYC's local and international community.
